Meredith Kinner is a founding member and managing partner of East Coast Cannabis Counsel (“EC3”), a Miami-based boutique law firm that focuses on all aspects of cannabis law in the Great State of Florida. Meredith has been practicing law in the cannabis space since 2015, when she and John McGowan, established Kinner & McGowan, PLLC (“K&M”), a cannabis focused law firm serving clients in Washington, D.C. and Maryland. Meredith understands the unique challenges faced by the cannabis industry. As industry counsel, she has helped medical licensees, adult-use licensees and hemp/CBD clients navigate complex and rapidly changing local and federal regulations. K&M has represented clients in diverse matters ranging from licensing and compliance, to contract negotiation and civil litigation, to civil forfeiture and property seizures. Meredith brings this experience and knowledge of the cannabis industry to EC3 and to Florida’s expanding medical cannabis and hemp markets. Meredith received a B.A. from Northeastern University and her J.D. from the University of the District of Columbia, David A. Clarke School of Law. Meredith is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland and the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
